Work has begun for Troop 11's annual Christmas Tree Pick-up. Scouts will be contacting long-time customers starting November 24th. You will also find us at locations across the island of Alameda, during the holiday season.

On January 9, 2010, Scouts will span out over the island and collect Christmas Trees for recycling. Supplementing the efforts of Alameda County Industries, trees recycled through Troop 11 are returned to Alameda as mulch for the Alameda Point Collaborative.

Started in 1972 as an Eagle project, by Hal Zecher,Jr., the Annual Christmas Tree Pickup has become an Alameda tradition.

The Annual Tree Pickup/Recycling is a project of Boy Scout Troop 11 Alameda.
